Extra Options

PMI-ACP® Exam Cost

The PMI-ACP® certification cost is USD435 for PMI members and USD495 for non-members.

This is excluded from the course fee, but Millpond is able to offer PMI Membership and Exam Vouchers in a NZD or AUD ‘bundle’ at the time of registration. There is no cost benefit to this, but it can make the process of joining PMI and paying for the exam easier for candidates and/or their organisation.

Note that this bundle does not include membership of your local PMI chapter which must be purchased directly from PMI after you become a global member.

The benefits of PMI membership can be found here. In summary, PMI members get access to a free .pdf of the current PMBOK® Guide, many other standards and publications, including the Agile Practice Guide, plus discounted exam fees as above, and a 10% discount on Millpond’s PMI certification training courses.

Your questions answered

Is there any pre-reading and how much will I have to study while on the course?

There is no pre-reading, but once the course has started, you will have study and exercises to complete between the sessions. The amount will depend on your familiarity with the concepts, how recently you have been in an education setting, and your particular learning style. To maximise your chances of success in the exam, we recommend at least the same number of hours between each session as the session itself.

Should I become a paid-up member of PMI?

It’s not required but we highly recommend it for the member-only savings; learning opportunities; time-saving tools and templates; and local community connections. Make sure you join before paying the exam fee!

Will I have to renew the PMI-ACP® certification?

All PMI certifications require that you engage in continuous professional development in order to remain certified.  The requirements for each certification can be found within the Continuing Certification Requirements Handbook.

Where can I sit the exam?

PMI's exams are delivered by Pearson Vue which means that you can take your exam in the comfort of your home or office while being monitored by an offsite proctor (learn more here), or if you live in a major centre there may be a testing centre near you for an in-person exam.
