We had a fantastic few days in Auckland at the New Zealand Project Management conference with an impressive line up of speakers, masterclasses, and breakfast sessions. An exciting time to be a project manager, we met many enthusiastic project managers learning new ideas and hearing from international leaders.
A definite highlight was the Awards Dinner – a celebration of achievement, socialising with (new and existing) friends, delicious food and of course a bit of dancing…
Congratulations to Paul McGinn from Fonterra who won the Falcon Training Project Manager of the Year award! Paul demonstrated superior project management skills with his latest project, the $235 million dryer plant at Pahiatua, which he delivered under budget and ahead of schedule making this the best plant start up in recent times. Paul’s ability to focus on the outcomes of the project while also considering the site’s culture and community was unique and resulted in a high degree of ownership, engagement and acceptance.
And a further congratulations to the other award winners;
