Who should get a DASM certification?

• Agile practitioners who want to further specialize and differentiate their skills by diving deeper into agile approaches, regardless of where they are in their career paths
• Agile practitioners who are preparing to pass their PMI DASSM examination
• Practitioners who wish to earn PDUs from a PMI Authorised Training Partner. While taking a Disciplined Agile training workshop, professionals may count those training hours as PDUs toward their PMP, PgMP, or PMI-ACP PDU requirements. This means they can earn PDUs while also working toward earning a Disciplined Agile certification.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to take the DASM course. This course is designed for those that are new to Agile. If you are completely unfamiliar with Agile then we suggest that you watch PMI’s free 45-minute video, Basics of Scrum.

The DASM exam fee is included as part of the course fee. You have 60 days to take the exam from completion of the course.

How difficult is the DASM exam?

In our experience most students find the DASM exam fairly easy, provided they have completed the recommended pre-work and the course itself.

How long does it take to get DASM?

That depends on how much study you wish to do after the course. As mentioned above, you have 60 days to take the exam from completion of the course, but most people do it in a lot less.

Is the DASM exam open book?

No.

What is the difference between DASM and DASSM?

DASM covers what you need to know to lead an Agile team, while DASSM teaches the interaction process at different hierarchy levels in an enterprise.

What score do students need to pass the DASM and DASSM exams?

PMI does not publish the passing score for any of their certifications.
