Get to know Roger
Roger is a Project Manager, Mentor, and Trainer.
Having led public and in-house training programmes for over twenty years in the Asia Pacific region, PNG, Singapore, Malaysia, China, The Middle East, New Zealand, and Australia, Roger has been trained to lead a wide range of leadership and project management courses by ESI International and Management Concepts Inc. of the United States.
Roger was a senior tutor with Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) of diploma and degree level courses and facilitator of NZQA certificate level courses with TANZ eCampus.
From early 2017 to august 2019, Roger has been engaged with the University of the South Pacific for the USAID Pacific Climate Ready Program building capability in project management with over 500 participants throughout the Pacific Islands.
Roger has worked with major consulting firms, Price Waterhouse – Coopers and Ernst and Young (in their SAP practices), Managing teams of highly skilled consultants, from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, on high-profile business re-engineering and system implementation projects. He was a Marketing Manager with IBM Australia in Melbourne.
He is an active member of the New Zealand Chapter of the PMI; being a former Vice President, Director of Public Relations, and a mentor for leaders of PMP and CAPM Certification Preparation Networks. Roger is the former regional director of the Asia Pacific (Region IV) of the Risk Management Specific Interest Group. Roger received the PMI NZ President’s Award in 2018.
Of interest
A previous member of Rotary International, Roger is a Paul Harris Fellow, and has been engaged in projects in Taveuni, the Varayame project, Habitat for Humanity and Emergency Response Kits. He is an active member of Sir Edmund Hillary’s Himalayan Trust.
His interests include family, community projects, travel, flying, skydiving, E-mountain biking, tramping in the New Zealand bush, and trekking adventures in the Himalayas.
