Get to know Gina
Gina is a seasoned project management instructor with over 25 years of hands-on experience in the field. Her professional journey has been marked by a diverse range of projects and programs across industries, including IT, construction, manufacturing, Oil and Gas, and healthcare. Gina’s experience over the years has included delivering projects and teaching across a variety of lifecycle approaches including Agile, Predictive, and Hybrid. One particular aspect that is always at the forefront of her work is focusing on proactive stakeholder engagement, organisational change management, and using fit for purpose processes.
Gina’s impact as an instructor extends beyond the classroom. She has mentored numerous students, guiding them in applying theoretical concepts to their roles. Many of her mentees have gone on to significantly advance their careers in project management. Her commitment to continuous learning and improvement is evident in her involvement in various professional organizations. Gina is an active member of the project management community, has been a volunteer with the Project Management Institute for 25 years and has served on as a member of her chapter’s Board of Directors.
Of interest
When not project managing or teaching, Gina is a mom of 3 young adults who keep her up to date with the latest trends and challenge her to understand generational differences. Gina has lived in Ecuador, USA, Canada, and over the past 12 years, Australia. Always interested in travel and looking to plan her next adventure. Lately, her new hobbies include playing Pickleball and Learning Korean.
