Mike is very well known for the quality of his leadership and his drive to return value with all his engagements. As a practitioner, Mike has developed an enviable reputation for being able to quickly assess which tools and techniques are best suited for the project in front of him.
Mike is big on communication and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels allows Mike to get the right information to the right people at the right time.
Clients appreciate his attention to detail, commitment to delivery, and ability to become one of the team, while maintaining a level of professionalism at all times.
As Millpond’s Training Business Line lead, Mike has demonstrated an ability to share his ‘real world’ Project Management knowledge, while also demonstrating a leading knowledge of the academic side of the profession. His thirst for knowledge and dedication to the industry is demonstrated by his devotion as a volunteer for PMINZ (Project Management Institute of New Zealand), where he has held a number of leadership roles. Currently, Chair of the Christchurch Branch.
Mike is into relevant, tailored, and applicable PM practices – he won’t fit your company into one box. Mike would rather work with you and your team to define how things need to be done – to deliver where there is true value-add.
But as life is not just about work, Mike keeps himself busy outside of Millpond too.
Mike lives with his wife and three daughters on a lifestyle block 45 minutes out of the city. Most of his spare time is spent on the end of a hammer – building anything from houses to gardens. If you need any DIY advice, just let him know!
