Chris has over 20 years programme and project management experience in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand working for companies that have included Citigroup, Vector, Meridian, 2degrees, BNZ and ANZ banks.
Chris has worked with many project management methodologies and is pragmatic in his approach to projects and will work with the customer to determine the governance that will best deliver the solution required. Of key importance to him is communication, keeping people informed of what is going on, that includes the good while not hiding the (sometimes) bad.
Working across many sectors Chris is very adaptable. His UK experience began on London FX dealing floors as a programmer, to technology management of development and support teams and project management. In New Zealand he was programme manager in the smart metering space, managed the refurbishment and relocations of many banking offices (including many during the Christchurch earthquakes), project managed many large corporate telecommunications projects and looked after the project governance of an initiative in hospitality to implement a new reservation and POS system for a NZ and Pacific island-based hotel chain.
A great listener and people person Chris is comfortable working at all levels of an organisation including the project team, stakeholders and the many vendors often involved both on and offshore (he has worked with teams in India, the US , the UK and the Philippines).
Away from work Chris’ interest include time with his family and friends, music (he says he plays piano and guitar badly!), running, skiing and getting out into and exploring the outdoors of a country that is now his home (he became a NZ citizen in December 2018).
